Ionic Manganese

Manganese is an essential part of the construction of bone, cartilage and collagen. It plays an important role in energy production and brain function, where it is often found in combination with lecithin.

Manganese forms the following metalloenzymes - pyruvate carboxylase, malic enzyme, phosphogluconate dehydrogenase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, arginase, acetylcholine esterase, glycosyl transferase, CDP-diacylglycerolinositol transferase, farnesyl pyrophosphate synthetase, superoxide dismutase, serine transhydroxymethylase and glyoxalate carboligase.
